My sessions always seem to cluster in themes. One week all of my clients may have relationship issues. Maybe the next week most wish to connect with loved ones lost. Sometimes I see client after client looking for that perfect job or career. The list is really endless!
Well, the theme over the last couple of weeks has been all about life purpose. We seem to have this deep need to understand why we’re here and what we need to accomplish in this lifetime. We’re so afraid we’re going to fall off track and screw it all up! The question I’m most often asked is, “What if I fail?” I do believe that before we come into a lifetime, we decide what we’d like to experience to help our Soul, along with the collective Soul, evolve. We may choose to experience deep love, tolerance, patience, understanding, appreciation, heartache, physical limitations, etc. etc. Do I believe we each have one very specific thing we came to accomplish? No. I don’t think I necessarily came here to be the next Einstein, President of the United States, or Nobel Peace Prize winner. (Those who know me well will be glad to hear I haven’t set my sights that high!) I just don’t think it works that way. We set up the main players and events in our life, but the wonderful gift of free will gives this adventure quite a spin. I believe we have themes, and yes, we have some lessons to work through as well, but overall life is about experiencing everything this planet has to offer as a means to personal evolution. So if our life purpose is to experience the ups and downs of being human, how exactly can we fail? I want you to think about the definition of failure. Failure, as defined by dictionary.com is “nonperformance of something due, required, or expected.” Keep that in mind as I continue…. I do not believe that our Creator, Higher Power, or God has one destined plan for each of us other than to be present in our lives at all times. The gift of free will pretty much opens the door to any path we choose, knowing that the experience will impact us in whatever way is appropriate for this lifetime. In my opinion, that’s what is required, due, and expected of us each time we reincarnate. We get to choose what it looks like. Going down one path will lead to a very different experience than another might give you. Does it make one path wrong or right? No, they’re just different. The opportunities for growth, expansion, and love are endless on this planet. We have the ability to feel an incredible range of emotions. We are captivated by the amazing writers who feed our Souls and challenge our thinking. We are touched by the kindness shown to us and are often inspired to do the same for others. The beauty of this planet is mesmerizing, and the story of the humans who inhabit it are breath-taking. We can experience the deepest love imaginable and feel exhilaration only limited by our mind. What an amazing place to be! So, the next time you wonder if you are failing to reach your life’s purpose, reflect on the experiences you’ve had during this lifetime. I can guarantee that you’ve done anything, but fail. Namaste …..I’d love to hear your thoughts on the subject so if you have a moment please add a comment below! It’s okay if you have a different perspective! I love opening dialogue…that’s what it’s all about!
